IDEO launches Design Kit

Dear Friends,

In 2011, we launched HCD Connect, an online platform for the spread and sharing of human-centered design in the social sector. And you responded with an outpouring of engagement and support that humbles us to this day. You shared tons of stories of your work in the social sector, honed your knowledge of human-centered design, and connected deeply with your peers working on the world’s most difficult problems.

Now, three years, and 57,000 community members later, it’s time for a refresh.

Today we’re thrilled to announce the launch of Design Kit, the exciting next step in IDEO.org’s mission to share human-centered design, and the evolution of HCD Connect.

Design Kit launches today with over 50 human-centered design Methods, design-in-action Case Studies, and a suite of seven fantastic videos on the philosophy of human-centered design. The videos feature the likes of IDEO CEO Tim Brown talking about learning from failure, D-Rev CEO Krista Donaldson on the power of making, IDEO founder David Kelley on creative confidence, and more.

We’re excited to share Design Kit because we strongly believe that it’s our best tool yet, and it will better serve you, our amazing community of creative problem-solvers, designers, and social sector innovators.

So log on, sign up, poke around, and put to use what we feel is the best platform out there for learning and sharing human-centered design.

We can’t wait to hear what you think.

If you’re as excited as we are, then we’d love for you to share the launch. Here are a couple handy tweets or Facebook posts:
