Youth, Gender, and Employability in the Mena Region, A Focus on Jordan, 10-11 November 2013, Landmark Hotel, Amman, Jordan

The symposium will include:

  • Leading Jordanian experts and thought-leaders on challenges and opportunities related to youth employment, with a special focus on the way employment affects men and women differently
  • Regional perspectives on youth employment in the Levant and how regional dynamics affects youth employment in Jordan
  • Presentation of research findings from Leaders for Tomorrow taking the pulse of youth in Jordan
  • Participatory discussion by youth on the impact of Ministry of Labor programs
  • Featuring World Café participatory sessions that will allow youth from all 12 governorates to weigh in on employment dynamics in Jordan and the impact of large scale programs addressing youth employment. Through a FADFED platform, participants will express their opinions and contribute to innovative ideas and solutions.

This symposium series on Youth, Gender and Employability in the MENA Region: A Focus on Jordan will bring together more than 200 youth from across Jordan, advocates from civil society organizations, academia, government, private sector, national and international experts for panels and open discussions on employability and gender issues.
